The Opportunity
We’re seeking a proactive and personable Account Manager to manage and grow an established portfolio of national clients across Victoria. This is a 12-month maternity leave cover with a strong possibility of extension.
You’ll be managing a stable base of long-term clients, including major players in the forklift and materials handling sectors, while identifying opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and re-engage lapsed accounts.
You’ll report to a supportive but hands-off manager who values autonomy — so this role suits someone who’s self-motivated, structured, and enjoys running their own patch.

An established national tyres distributor mainly focused on the material handling industry.
A highly respected and known provider in the industry.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow existing client relationships across national accounts.

Plan and execute proactive customer visits on a 6-week call cycle, including 1–2 nights of rural travel as needed.

Identify opportunities for new orders, upsells, and reactivation of dormant clients (24+ months inactive).

Engage in solution-based selling — diagnosing issues like traction and tyre wear, providing tailored recommendations, and helping clients reduce downtime.

Maintain accurate CRM records using SAP, ensuring all customer interactions, reports, and insights are captured.

Collaborate closely with technical and warehouse teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment and service delivery.

Contribute to market feedback and reporting on customer trends and product performance.
About You

1–2 years of experience in B2B account management or field sales, ideally in industrial, automotive, or materials handling.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills — personable, confident, and customer-focused.

A self-starter who can manage their own time, territory, and priorities.

Experience using SAP or similar CRMs for reporting and pipeline management.

An athlete mindset — competitive, resilient, and disciplined in hitting goals.

Based in Melbourne’s west (Laverton North area preferred).

Full driver’s licence required.

Commissions: 13% annual bonus structure (uncapped).
