Head of Sales – Business Advisory & Insolvency

Location: Sydney CBD (On-site)
Salary:$145k + super + uncapped commissions
OTE:$300k–$500k+


About the Business

Our client is a fast-growing business advisory firm specialising in insolvency, debt reduction, and business recovery.

They help distressed business owners regain control — through restructuring, liquidation pathways, and strategic debt solutions.

With a huge proprietary database, warm leads to get in front of, and a proven conversion model, this business is positioned for rapid scale.

They are now looking for a Head of Sales to lead the next growth phase.


The Opportunity

This is a hands-on leadership role.

You will:

  1. Drive revenue personally

  2. Refine the sales engine 

  3. Build and lead a high-performance sales team (once revenue targets have been reached)

This is for a commercially driven sales leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments and wants to build something meaningful and highly profitable.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Close high-value advisory engagements (average upfront fees of ~$22k)

  • Convert qualified leads from a large, warm database of distressed businesses

  • Work closely with appointment setters and marketing

  • Handle short sales cycles (1–2 weeks)

  • Manage a high-volume pipeline (10+ sales conversations per day)

  • Track performance through HubSpot and KPI dashboards

  • Upsell additional advisory services where appropriate

  • Eventually recruit, train, and manage a team of sales consultants


The Numbers

  • Average deal: $22k upfront

  • Typical client: $150k+ debt, $800k+ turnover

  • 25 deals/month = $300k+ OTE

  • Top performers: $400k–$500k+

Leads are plentiful — this is a volume-driven, high-conversion environment.


Who We’re Looking For

You are:

  • A high-performing closer with solution-selling experience

  • Commercial, confident, and resilient (money conversations + upfront fees)

  • Data-driven, comfortable working to KPIs

  • Experienced with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)

  • Entrepreneurial, hungry, and accountable

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-rejection environment

Industry experience not required. Sales performance is.
